Condition; running strong keeps good time, glass crystal, very good hinges. Very good porcelain dial. Watch comes with sterling silver 12in chain and metal winding key. The watch is a Swiss movment Alpine and has a pink and white face, a minute, hour and second hand. The case is sterling silver, measures 35 mm in diameter hallmarked and signed C.   The makers mark has a lion walking and 2nd mark is a U in a shield and a WH mark. Circa 1875 sterling silver. The overall dimension of case is about 51mm movement size is about 40mm. Single sunken dial and does have a crack. Dial is missing second hand and watch has silver hands. Movement is key wind and case is hinged along with bezel being hinged. Crystal does have some slight scratches. Case does have some scratches and dings. Watch runs for a little and will stop and seems to be wound tight. Recommend having serviced and cleaned.   Outer case is in excellent condition for age. Snaps open and close very nicely. Inner case is in very functional condition with a few small dings. It is hallmarked for sterling. Watch is made by Butt, London. It is not in working order. Watch face has a few small cracks and there is a crack in the crystal. Hands seem to be in nice condition and move freely. The watch is of open face design with sterling silver case by Arthur George Rendell of London and stem-wind movement with chain ring. The watch is not currently working, however the movement appears complete (refer photos, be your own judge). The case is in reasonably good order, with the dial having a few scratches. The watch is without monogram or crest, with the second hand missing. A great watch for parts or restoration. The watch has an overall diameter of 52mm and weighs in at 93gms unpacked.
