Up for sale is a great looking 1928 Elgin 16 size 21 jewel adjusted B. Raymond pocket watch in a 12k gold filled Star Watch Case Co/Elgin R. Case out of an estate! The case shows light scratches and some significant areas of wear-through, the crown has been replaced, and the glass crystal has been replaced with a plastic one. The lever-set movement is marked: B. Raymond Elgin Nat’l Watch Co. 21 Jewels 30474803 Adjusted 5 Positions. Movement dates to 1928. The watch is running, however we recommend it be serviced in order to keep running and keep time. The watch will wind and set properly. Men’s Vintage Longines High Grade 15j cal 18.50 Hunting Case Pocketwatch. With Original 0.900 Silver Hallmarked Case! Vintage Time, Rapid City, South Dakota This is a very nice solid silver high-grade Longines pocketwatch whose case is in remarkable condition. This pocketwatch is in original condition, running well within one minute per day. The 50.44 mm wide x 14.25mm thick engraved solid 0.900 silver case is in original unmolested condition with little to no wear. The case still shines beautifully without being polished in a very long time. Please be sure to view ALL the pictures: they are an essential component of this listing. The original single sunk porcelain dial is unblemished and has black Roman numerals with dash minute track divided into 5-minute increments. The deeply blued spade and whip hands are in excellent condition. Please not that this is a lever-set hunting movement. Speaking of the movement, this is t he more high-grade 15-jewel version (they were also produced in 7j versions), which features a bimetallic compensated balance, straight long lever (‘ligne angulaire’) with counterweight and hidden palates. The bridges have some damascening and anglage of the period, and the movement is running strongly. In all, a very clean, attractive, and top quality man’s vintage circa 1898 Longines cal 18.50 hunting pocketwatch with solid 0.900 silver engraved case in excellent original condition! Service History (if known): Last overhauled in January 2000, with new glass crystal and adjusted balance. Box & Papers: NO.
