  VINTAGE 1904 (Estimated) Elgin Illinois Grade 269, Model 2, Size 0, 7 Jewels, Ladies Hunter Pocket Watch in a Wadsworth Watch Case Co. Pilot 10K Gold-Filled Case. Comes with a 24 10K Gold Filled Pocket Watch Chain with Pearl Slider. Watch keeps excellent time. New hour hand and crystal. Watch is a family heirloom handed down to current 3rd generation. Original owner (Grandmother) lived on Long Island, NY, residing in West Sayville, NY. Engrave with initials “KL” for Kate Lieuwen born in Midsland, Terschelling, Holland. Kate’s picture is glued into back compartment, and we believe it was placed there after her early passing. I have chosen not to remove it. Watch will come with all discovered research material.   Estate Fresh and As Found. The case is gorgeous – has a small amount of normal light wear. The golf filled plating is excellent albeit a couple of very small spots of wear. The movement needs repair, not sure what the issue is but tend to think that is needs a new spring. The crown pulls out a little hard but not that bad, it sets just as it should. The porcelain dial face has a hairline crack located in the area between the VII and XI Roman Numerals. The case opens and closes as it should. As stated the movement needs repair, its not working.   German Saxony Ladies Pocket Watch C1890 Silver & Gold in Box Wood Case & Chain. This listing is for a circa 1890 Ladies fancy open faced pocket watch in a sterling and 14 k gold case. The watch comes with a multi 4 strand 15 inch rose gold filled chain. The watch is from the watchmaker C. Johannsen of Rethem in the Saxony region of Germany. It comes in it’s original boxwood and silk lined case with a silk ribbon identifying the maker and location The watch measures 1 inch in diameter and has a porcelain face with Arabic numbers and 14k gold hands. The back of the watch is 14k gold overlay over silver and the metals are engraved showing a young women feeding birds in a forested setting. The watch has two back covers the inner side of the first cover is stamped “Argent” for silver. The outside of the inner cover is engraved. Cylindergang 10 Steine for Cylinder Movement with 10 Jewels. The cylinder movement is pin set meaning the time is set by pushing in a small knob on the outside of the case above the 1 on the dial. The watch is a strong runner and works perfectly. This antique ladies pocket watch is a little beautiful treasure in pristeen condition and in it’s original presentation box. Please see the photos.
