


German Saxony Ladies Pocket Watch C1890 Silver & Gold in Box Wood Case & Chain. This listing is for a circa 1890 Ladies fancy open faced pocket watch in a sterling and 14 k gold case. The watch comes with a multi 4 strand 15 inch rose gold filled chain. The watch is from the watchmaker C. Johannsen of Rethem in the Saxony region of Germany. It comes in it’s original boxwood and silk lined case with a silk ribbon identifying the maker and location The watch measures 1 inch in diameter and has a porcelain face with Arabic numbers and 14k gold hands. The back of the watch is 14k gold overlay over silver and the metals are engraved showing a young women feeding birds in a forested setting. The watch has two back covers the inner side of the first cover is stamped “Argent” for silver. The outside of the inner cover is engraved. Cylindergang 10 Steine for Cylinder Movement with 10 Jewels. The cylinder movement is pin set meaning the time is set by pushing in a small knob on the outside of the case above the 1 on the dial. The watch is a strong runner and works perfectly. This antique ladies pocket watch is a little beautiful treasure in pristeen condition and in it’s original presentation box. Please see the photos.
