Dirty with stains and scratches, dented coin edge, front cover hinge is loose(open at over 120 degree), very dirty with oxidation, brass cuvette. Other hinges and catches are all working fine. Inner front marked LF & C°. 184 2″ and inner back marked “LF & C° 46184 2. Plastic, yellowed with scratches and seems it was glued to bezel. Dial : White enamel dial with very few faint hairline and cracks on edges, signed Wm Meyerink & C°. Black spade hands with gold tone seconds hand. Black Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial. Movement : Key wind key set, lever escapement in working condition but accuracy not timed, Gold tone balance with blue steel hairspring, balance staff is OK, 15 jewels, signed WM MEYERINK & C° DEPOSÉ. (Does NOT comes with key). Overall a beautiful pocket watch, believe that it will be a stunning great and beautiful gem after cleaning and minor repair of the case and adding back a suitable glass. 1851 Silver Pair Cased Verge Fusee Pocket Watch Geo Gunn Ewhurst Working. Antique Circa 1851 big chunky silver pair cased Verge fusee pocket watch in good working order. The dial is white enamel with hand painted decorated black Roman numerals and gold-coloured hands. The movement is a chain driven fusee with verge escapement Fire gilt plates with round pillars decorated cock over a plain steel balance with regulator. It has a good swinging balance and chain running the full length of its chain keeping fair to good verge time. The movement is marked Geo Gunn Ewhurst and the number 29319. The watch case and its pair case are marked to the inside with London silver hallmarks for 1851 and the makers mark JB WW. It is key wind and set. The dial and bull-eye dial glass are clean and clear and free from any chips or cracks apart from a little scratching to the dial glass and a faint hairline to its dial. Both cases are clean and bright and have worn as to their age with all the covers closing nice and tight. The watch measures 49mm excluding crown and its pair case 56mm. Be sure to add me to your. Silver pocket watch, pair cases, verge – Henry Perry, London, c1700. Silver pair cases, 54mm. A fine, early London verge. MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, the engraved and pierced winged balance cock with wide D shaped foot. Four crested Egyptian pillars, silver regulator disk and blued screws. Running well, and in good condition throughout except for one of the pillars which is missing the top section. Fortunately this damage does not effect the running of the watch. Signed HEN PERRY, St. ANNs, SOHO, LONDON and numbered (319). DIAL : Silver champleve dial, in good condition. Signed PERRY, LONDON on the central disc. There is just one small hole on the left hand edge of this central disc. Good early 18th century steel beetle and poker hands. INNER CASE : Silver, with no hallmarks, but makers mark CW and movement serial number (319). In very good condition throughout. The hinge is fine and the bezel snaps shut correctly. The high dome crystal is fine. OUTER CASE : Silver pair case, with matching marks to the inner. The hinge, catch button and catch are fine and the case closes correctly. There is an old (and small) repair to the centre of the back which obscures the last digit of the serial number. Henry Parry is listed in Soho, London from 1691, and in the Clockmakers Company until 1721. The case maker is either Cuthbert Weaver or Clay Whitton.
