Here is a super clean Elgin 14k SOLID gold Hunter’s Case pocket watch. Check out how crisp the engraving design is on this pocket watch case!!! The 45.7 mm case does not look much different then when it was new in 1926. Most watch cases show some wear from being carried for all of those years. This one must of sat in a drawer most of its life. This Elgin Hunter’s Case watch has a clean SIGNED dial. I had my watchmaker replaced the crystal with a new old stock crystal. The watch has a SIGNED 17 jewel model 2, class 113, grade 344 stem wound and stem set movement and is running. Serial # 28,675,375 dates this Elgin to 1926. It has gold jewel settings and screwed chatons which you don’t usually see in gold cased watches. There is a Moseley regulator on this above average Elgin movement. The front case hinge is slightly over sprung and the back and dust cover hinges are great. This Elgin watch has a bird or swan theme case front and back. Super sharp detail on this case and shows almost no wear. The case and movement weigh 38 pennyweight or 59.3 grams as pictured.
