In this listing we have this terrific 1920s Robert Cart Platinum UltraThin Cushion Case Pocket Watch with top grade’Extra Superior’ 19j movement. Robert Cart was one of the best makers of UltraThin pocket watches in the early part of 20th Century with the likes of Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet, Touchon etc. It was known to have made base movements for Vacheron and Breguet. This particular pocket watch up for sale is for sure one of the best products of Robert Cart having a beautifully made Platinum Open Faced Case made in highly unique cushion shaped case. The movement inside is as fine as they come for a Swiss watch from early 20th Century, justified by the’Extra Superior’ marking. We can see Robert Cart marked on the movement as well as with the RC plus star triangle hallmark. There is also Robert Cart signature inside the caseback, and the platinum Chamois hallmark was punched 3 times. Condition-wise the watch is running and appears to operate normally. However, we have not serviced the watch so we do not guarantee timekeeping accuracy or longevity. Cosmetically the silver dial has some tarnish/discoloration marks/specks as well as tarnish to the outer rail chapter. The case has usual scratches and without significant defect. The glass crystal has two corners with chips. Total weight is 53.2g, dimension is 44x44mm. Only exception is that return can be requested if the item significantly deviate from the listing description and must be made within 2 days after receiving item.
