14k Multi Color Gold Horse Waltham 16 size M1899 Gr 620 Hunter Case Pocket Watch. This scarce equestrian design pocket watch with exquisite horse head is in very good condition and running strong! There are only light signs of wear overall including minor scratches. The horses head is absolutely spectacular with great detail and surrounded by tall green gold leaves with rose gold buds. The front cover with rose gold vacant cartouche shield bordered by a wonderful multi color gold garland. The only other examples I could find had more whimsical horse figures and not as realistically detailed as this example. The dial has some faint hairlines. Total weight is 97.5 grams. A beautiful multi color 14k gold Vallon pocket watch. The dial and movement are marked Vallon. The dial has a couple of hairlines. Case is marked Warranted 14k U. Inner bezel is marked 14k and a number 501721. The watch runs very weakly and will definitely need servicing as it stops after a minute or so. The crystal is not attached and loose. The case measures approx 34 inches in diameter. The Total including the movement weighs 30.7 grams not including the plastic crystal. The inside of the case has a few holes where the outside dots have been soldered, please see the detailed photos. Case is very pretty and I believe there are 4 colors of gold used, yellow, pink, green and white. The shield on one front has a monogram on it. I have no idea what the net gold weight on this is.
