
















Julius Assmann pocket watch quality 1A Tula Renaissance case silver & gold 1906 very rare. Illustrated in Assmann’s sales catalog from 1906. This very nice Assmann – watch is a unique opportunity to get a dreamlike timepiece for the connoisseur of Glashütte watches. The watch combines all the components of a Glashütte precision pocket watch: An impressive heavy case with a strikingly designed three-piece dial with blue minute track, handmade Glashütte gold hands. In addition, there is the fantastic condition of the movement, which was made in the highest manufacturing quality and marked with the probably unique movement signature: Made for J. Linnemann by J Assmann Glashütte i Sa. Elaborately designed Glashütte Renaissance case with monogram, hinge, crown and opening lips in red gold. The case is identical to the watch shown on the Assmann sales catalog of 1906 sample for case fittings, Fig. 13 (center) with identical incrusted gold monogram (JL). These initials also match the extremely rare movement signature: Made for J. Magnificent open face -0.935 Tula silver case of the Lucia case shape, movement glazing, German hallmarks mark moon crown, Assmann manufactory hallmark J. Cuvette smooth, without inscription. Back cover, rim and lynette engraved and decorated with Tula silver, plus fine inlaid gold monogram “JL”. The case is in nice condition, the tula silver is worn to the rim, the cuvette with small pressure mark. The case has the rare case that the case is hallmarked only with the German Imperial silver stamp, without the Swiss silver marks – therefore it must be assumed that it is a Glashütte case. Three-piece white enamel dial with sunken center and blue minute track, signed “J Assmann Glashütte I/Sachsen” with outer minute track, Arabic numerals, sunken small seconds at 6. Original Louis XV gold hands. The dial and hands are perfectly preserved. Glashütte ¾ plate movement, caliber 45/ 20“lines, gilded and grained, signed Gefertigt für J. Linnemann durch J Assmann Glashütte i Sa No. 13 186, hand engraved balance bridge, swan neck – fine regulation, Glashütte gold lever and gold escape wheel, 17mm Glashütte gold screw compensation balance, diamond cap jewel. Ground winding wheels according to Grossmann. The clean, beautifully preserved movement runs flawlessly. The watch was cleaned and overhauled by the watchmaker. Diameter 56mm, weight 136g. Movement and case numbers are the same: No. A photo copy of the catalog comes with the offer. The probably original Tulasilver watch chain completes the offer.
