Very rare turn of the century 1907 Waltham Pocket Watch in solid 14K gold in absolutely gorgeous condition! Circa 1907 American Waltham Watch brand, 0s size, 15 jewel, stem wind and set, hunters case oriented movement. Fancy, damaskeened nickel plated 3/4 plate design movement with solid gold screw down jewel settings and micro-regulator. Serial number 162467719 – dating this watch to 1907. This watch weighs 37.8 grams. Original signed ceramic dial. Printed Arabic numeral hour markers, with hash mark minute ring and Arabic numerals in red every 5 minutes. A few tiny hairlines, but absolutely no other defects. Clean, blue steel thin spade hour and minute hands. 37 mm solidarity solid 14K gold watch case. The case measures 10 mm thick (with dial cover and case back). Extremely light, if any, wear. No scratching or damage of any kind. The solid gold dial cover is decorated with floral designs on engine turned back ground. Signed center crest (MM). 1 or 2 very insignificant dents noticed. Very little to no wear on decoration. Depressing the crown releases the dial cover latch. The cover springs open to 90 degrees and not past. The hinge is tight and without play. The dial cover closes flat and tight. The polished interior is clean and free of any scratches or defects. Hinged solid 14K gold case back. Similar unworn engine turned and floral design as front. NO dents or scratches. Clean, polished inside stamped “14 karat solidarity” with serial number “278047”. The case back snaps down tight and flat. The hinge is nice and tight with no play. It will stay in any position set. The hinge allows the case back to open to top dead center and not past. Polished hinge duvet (or dust cover). The cover closes tight and flat. The hinge is firm with no play. Cover will’stay’ in any position. The inside is clean and polished. Solid 14K gold snap down bezel. No dents or scratches. Snaps down flat and tight. No scratches on new, professionally fitted and installed acrylic dome. No cracks – clean and clear. Secured tightly by bezel. Very little to no wear on the crown, collar and hoop. No scratches or scuffs. Hoop bound tight and will stay in position. Crown winds and sets watch without any issues.
