From what I have found online the movement is 161 grade, 13j, size 0s, the movement has nickel finish. The case is Bates & Bacon and 10k gold filled. Condition: Very light signs of age. No cracks, chips, or even scuffs in glass crystal. Som light scratches on inside case rear case. Everything snaps closed as it should. Time can be adjusted but watch cannot be wound. Elgin 12s Gr 345 Model 3 17j Pocket Watch 1928 Tivoli GF RARE Top Hinged Case I have never seen this case design with the hinge at the top. One spot that you see in the pic on the pack where it looks like the WG finish is chipped? Not really noticable to me. We suggest you look up all the specifics on the Pocket Watch Database if I don’t havee it in the ad. They are pretty spot on with info but we cannot guarantee their info. T his watch seems to be running fine when wound, but with this watch I do not know when it was professionally serviced last for timing, accuracy or wear. We wind them to be sure they are running but no professional servicing or longevity testing. As all estate finds we suggest it be serviced and cleaned to keep this running for years ahead and to be sure all parts are still in specs. All watches have anti tamper sticker attached due to fraud.   Huge N sz (18) E. Howard & Co. Series IV 14K Gold Hunter Case Pocket Watch

  This huge 14K solid gold hunter case timepiece displays true to form Howard quality throughout. Leaf and flower patterns and an uninitialed shield decorate the front cover. Similar patterns along with a lakeside cabin and sailboat scene are displayed on the back cover. The center ring or frame of the case features a combination of readed and beaded designs. Although the case shows normal pocket wear from daily carry, the designs are worn but still visible. In spite of the wear, the case has remained very tight and well cared for. There are no dents, dings or deep scratches anywhere to be found and the case faces up very nicely. The front cover springs open sharply when released and stops just shy of 90 degrees as it should. The back and dust covers open in the same manner. The hinges are tight with no play or wobble in them at all. A readed ring surrounds the dust cover and all covers close tight leaving no play or gaps at all. The pumpkin style crown is sharp and the bow is tight. The case is marked B. W. C. Co. This case was manufactured by the Brooklyn Watch Case Co. The single sunk, white porcelain dial is marked E. Howard & Co – Boston. Black Roman hour chapters along with minute marks surround the dial and blue moon style hands center the dial. I can find NO hairlines, cracks or chips in the dial at all and the glass crystal is scratch free and set in a readed bezel. The N size (18), 15 jewel, Series IV, stem wind and set, Nickel, 3/4 plate movement is bright and beautiful displaying typical, E Howard superior quality! The plates are bright and crisp. Gold screw down jewel settings, bright blue plate screws and detailed damaskeening all highlight the movement. It is signed E. Boston – N. The serial number 49451 dates this piece back to circa 1880. The case covers are thick and heavy in gold and this timepiece is substantial when held in hand. Overall measurements of the timepiece are 58mm (2 1/4″) wide x 82mm (3 1/4″) from the top of the bow to the base of the case x 16mm (5/8) thick. Exact total weight of the watch is 161.5 grams (5.70 oz)! The watch winds and sets smooth. It is running strong and keeping excellent time. This timepiece was obviously carried on a daily basis. As you hold this piece in hand, its pretty easy to overlook the wear when noting how solid the case and hinges have remined. Most watches of this caliber and quality have been hoarded away in private collections. I search the market regularly for gold timepieces and watches like this rarely pop up anymore.   Pocket watch in good running condition. The watch is a size 16 with a 21jewels railroad grade movement. The nickel silver case is in good condition with small light scratches. This is a lever set model. The 24 hour dial is in good condition with a chip between the 2 and the 3 markers. These vintage watches are not as accurate as quartz watches so they have not been tested and not guaranteed for long time accuracy.
